Kuala Lumpur City Conversation on the FPIs

On 25 November 2018, the first day of the 16 Days of Activism, a small conversation was held at Malaysia Design Archive in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to introduce the Feminist Principles of the Internet to the attendees and to discuss our experiences as Malaysians / women / citizens / people / feminists / etc online. FPI's and ICT Toolkit for feminist Movement building in East London, South Africa

This workshop was held in February 2017 in partnership with Masimanyane Women’s Support Centre and Women'sNet. Participants came from sectors such as sex work, LGBTIQ, rural health workers and the teaching community. The 2-day gathering focused on the FPI Cluster of Agency with much discussion on the high cost of mobile data. The ICT Toolkit for Feminist Movement building was used as a training too.

Tangled like Wool - City Conversations in Mumbai and Delhi

In 2016 Point of View, in partnership with local organisations hosted two City Conversations. One in Mumbai, with 34 participants and second in Delhi. The Mumbai conversation explored the links between pornography, gender, sexuality and freedom of speech. The Delhi conversation was in partnership with CREA and called TANGLED LIKE WOOL! It focused entirely on online pornography, which was an historic first in India.

Buenos Aires hosts a City Conversation on the FPI's

On 27 April 2017 the Association for Progressive Communications (APC) and Asamblea Permanente por los Derechos Humanos (APDH) hosted a City Conversation on the FPI’s in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Speakers and organisations were from Buenos Aires, Rosario and Córdoba. Participants explored the FPI principles of Access, movement building, amplifying feminist discourse, freedom of expression, anonymity, privacy, online violence. Participants were from a variety of organisations, genders and ages.

Sarajevo City Conversation on Feminist Principles of the internet

On 26 January 2017 in Sarajevo, Bosnia Herzegovina, One world Platfrom and feminist online media ŽenskaposlaBA, organised a City Conversation on the FPIs. After an overview of the framework of the FPIs, the clusters of Access, Movement Building and Agency were discussed - with a focus on the principles of access to the internet, access to information, amplifying women’s narratives - as well as Anonymity and Children and Youth.
